Villagers in northeastern China clash with police in land row

The China Post - At least two people were injured and two detained when villagers and police clashed over a land dispute in northeastern China Sunday. Farmers in Yutian, a village in Heilongjiang province, set up roadblocks Saturday to protest a new commercial housing project requiring the razing of their homes, said a villager reached by telephone. Chinese managers held in Carrefour graft probe

The China Post -Police have detained eight Chinese managers at French retail giant Carrefour following an internal graft probe at the company, state media reported Sunday. Storm leaves 13 dead in Sichuan province, southwest China

The China Post - Thirteen people died and another person was missing after torrential rain triggered floods and landslides in southwest China, state media said Sunday.
